Biographie:
Pantera
Le groupe métal Pantera émerge en 1982 en jouant différents styles de hard rock, tantôt à la Kiss et Aerosmith, tantôt à la Def Leppard. Il enregistre les albums Metal Magic (1983) et Projects in the jungle (1984). En 1988, après la sortie de Power Metal, le groupe change de direction et s'oriente vers un métal plus dur. Le guitariste Diamond Darrell refuse d'ailleurs de rejoindre Megadeth à l'époque, intéressé par la nouvelle orientation de sa formation. Pantera signe en 1990 Cowboy from Hell puis en 1992 Vulgar display of power qui le fait sortir de l'anonymat avec des titres comme Walk ou Fucking Hostile. Suivent Far beyond driven (1994) et Great southern trendkill (1996). Le live Official Live: 101 Proof paraît en 1997. Il est suivi de l'album Reinventing the Steel en l'an 2000. En 2003, paraît le best of Reinventing Hell.
